My 135 rebuild/build. Picked it up as a 150, but turned out to be a 135. Didn't know at the time, oh well.

Tank before,

Tank after a little work and back painted black. Still needs reseal and cleaning in this pic.

Stand as it was bought.

Doors open

Needless to say I didn't think it was going to work or safley hold it. So new bracing.

Sides and some primer

First coat of paint and hood I made

And finished stand minus some minor touchup work. I used cheaper wood and scraps as well as wallyworld hinges trying to keep the cost down.

Going to get the tank on the stand tomorrow and take some picks of it and the hood. Still need to figure out the sump. Found a killer deal on a 55 and it barley dosen't fit in my stand. Need to get it done though and get this thing cycling.

Funny how we build our stands or do not trust the store bought ones. I was at a LFS here and they were selling stands for 100+ gal tanks that were made of:

4x 2x4
2x 2x6
3x4" deck and bottom shelves.

Nice start tho..... My stand for my 250 will most likly have enough 2x4's in it to assemble a house.

No kidding. I guess when it's in your home, your problem, and your fish at stake we tend to build it sturdier.

Looks good what fish are you adding to your tank?

For sure Bichirs. I have fallen on love with em. Maybe some cichlids for the upper space.
