I love sunshine plecos! If only they were carnivorous instead of omnivorous to cut down on the ?, then I'd definitely plan to get one.
They are! Really carnivorous.
My one sucks on sunken crickets, tilapia, and most of all love ghost shrimp. He can get through an awful lot of dead meat in one night.
He might suck on a bit of wood too, but is not really an omnivore. Totally unlike my 137, which really is an omnivore, and makes a mess.
That sounds good to me. I was worried because a couple of care websites like Planet Catfish say it's an omnivore that will eat large slices of pumpkin, zucchini, squash, and such, and eat the skin first.

Not only is the 14 a carnivore, he is very outgoing, always on display or out for the hunt. Quite unlike the 24s.
The outgoingness is great. Nice fish must be seen, not constantly hidden away.
I'm not so sure if I'll get one now though. Loricaiidae.info lists the max size as 40cm, which if true exceeds my tank space IMO.
