Last week I finally finished my 330 gallon put all my arowana in and datnoid in together! Notice because I had an open bottom that my datnoid dropped about 10 eggs the second night! Then today I noticed her drop about 15 more! Now what do I do get her a male? or will it be to late to do so? Not like I can afford a 13" + male for her right now but having babies would be awesome! I have grow tanks should I just go with the flow get a male and make **** happen or? Maybe I should sell her to someone who is equipped to deal with it? Someone help me figure out what I should do send me some recommendations please guys?

Very interesting, and too bad you don't have a mature male handy.I have no idea how long those unfertilized eggs will be viable. What kind of dat is it and did you take any photos?

Nice and silly question but I'm going to ask anyway....did you already know that you had a female and if so,how did you know?....got any photos of her and or the eggs?

Had no idea it was a female and I'll get pictures after the sun goes down tonight! I have recently added a mix of sand and small pebbles to my tank so you can't see the eggs anymore they blend into the bottom now which kinda sucks but I can vacuum them out maybe I'll see what I can do

Only way I know how to tell it's female is when she has eggs and her name is tank which was a boy I thought lol

Very cool, thought these were pretty hard for any breeding behavior.....maybe they only even attempt to breed at very large sizes may be part of the issue

Yeah I would have never thought of it layin eggs or even considering breeding but if I can get a male for her I'll be supplying people with some fish man I'd love to get into breeding her if I can but not sure who has dats and if anyone will want um from me hell I'll probably give most away cause I'm not into this for money or I wouldn't have built such a large aquarium! I love fish and everything to do with them
