14 inch blue eye pleco

I have the chance to pick this guy up for $800 I'm a little new to plecos and just starting to get big into them so does he look like he's worth it I think it's a good deal but would like some advice before I go all in on him any input is greatly appreciated

that is no juvy...looks like a male. is it arecent import? 800 is about the going price comin out of columbia. Ive had a coupke offered to me recently in the 700 750 range .

According to the source it was imported about 2 months ago the fish is going to be sold to me by a store the plecos been there about 2 to 3 months
