14" pacus rescued

These poor guys were in a 60g. I bought the whole shebang for $65. They now live in my 300g.

Thanks, the woman that had them could'nt even see in the tank! she was old though. Not sure of thier age. I think she said 4 yrs!

i hope they are younger than that. at 14" they shouldnt be that old. hope they arent stunted. nice pickup though you got the fish and the tank for $65?!?

That is so nice ...i always feel such a good feeling when i hear someone adopted or bought a pacu and had the right tank to put them in.. i am going through a small battle with it right now..i saw a pacu at the LFS store today..maybe a 10 inch pacu.. i started tearing up looking at him because i miss my pacus so much..my hubby said we will come back during the week and get him.. it means getting a bigger tank etc but i do not want to push him into it so i will wait and see what happens.. but people who have owned pacus can only relate to people who own them.. they are a fish that gets into your heart with their personality and charm and humor.. best to you on this pickup.. you will be happy with them..feed them lots of veggies,and they will grow and shine in no time..

Nice, are those RBP? They look darker than some of the other large red bellied pacus I've seen.

There are a couple different types of pacus ..black pacus and red bellied pacus etc.. the red bellied pacu are kind of a gray color and as they get older they lose the red bellies..his maybe the black which i believe do not get as big as the red bellied pacu..we need more pics
