14000 litre tropical pond viewing window question

hi all this is my tropical pond frame 7metres by 2.5metres by 1.2metres set up in garden before fitting inside insulated garage.im going to line it with 25mm plywood then have it fibreglassed my question is i want to add a viewing window at the far end in the frame but how do i go from fibreglass to the acrylic?

anyone? do i fibreglass then silicone on the fibreglass then add acrylic.will the fibreglass hold the extra pressure or will it crack.any other ways?

The best way is to build a frame for the window, use flat bars of metal to build the frame. You then use a rubber gasket or silicon to seal it. The danger is when the tank is empty and that is why the frame is used to support and compress the gasket, When the tank is full the water will press the gasket and stop any leaks.


So you silicon onto the epoxy then run bolts throught the frame, Tighten enough to secure everything and yu should be golden.
