Im gonna pay $200 to restore my 140g. Is that a good deal? Saves the trouble of hauling another tank home.

So is it a good deal? If you know anyone that can come over and restore tanks, please let me know.

Or I'll trade my 140g tall for a good condition 100g.

Not that I can help since I live in Ohio, but I posted a long thread explaining exactly how to do it. My tank was in horrible condition and I got every little scratch out. It took me awhile but it was well worth it. Depending on how bad the condition of the tank is, $200 is not bad. But typically, now that I am experienced, I could do a tank in 5 hours or less.

thanks. But I dont think I can do it yet.

There's a guy in the San Fernando valley that will do the inside for 150 if you bring the tank to him.

I think this is the same guy that's gonna do my tank. But I avoid to haul the tank around. That's worse than buying another tank. At least if I buy a tank I haul it home only one trip. Ya know what I mean?

I hope he'll do in/out for $200. I think it's fair enough. It's a job and it's money. I don't have a frikin job

His name is Tom Otman.

I told him the main reason I want to restore the tank because of the hazing.. He said that's the EZ part..

OK.

So he did a good job removing all the scratches on the side panels and one scratch in the front. Then he thought the hazing was EZ so he did a lazy job and said he was done and gathered his stuff in the car like :ez money". I told him the tank was still hazy and he tried to BS me saying that's the best it could get.. I told him I wanted to look clean like his advertisement pictures; from super scratched and beat up to looking new.. He said everything looks clear in pictures(meaning his pictures are fraud advertisement)..

I told him the main reaon I wanted this done is because of the hazing as I said from the start.. He said he does scratch removal and not haze.. I told him that he said the hazing was the EZ part in the begining.. Now he says he only does scratch removal. This guy is B.S. He wants to take your money but don't want to give you what you're paying for.

I was nice to him that he removed the scratches. I paid him $160 for 3 of his hours.. He already got all his things in the car like he's done. But I'd rather have him finish and pay him for a complete job though..

After he took the money, got in his car and burned rubber like a professional..

This guy is a lazy scam artist. Pay him to do a professional job and it was a disappointment and a waste of effort moving/resetting the tank. Waste of time, waste of money, waste of trust. Some part of the tank was clear before , but now hazy like the rest of the tank!

this guy is a total disappoint. His name is Tom Otman.

Wow!! Do you have any before and after pictures? I guess I'm glad I didn't go to him like I was going to..... Always better to do it yourself.

Lets make this clear. He did remove the scratches. He knows how to do the work.

But before he got started, I told him the most important thing was the hazing. He said, "that's the EZ part"..

Basically He just took care of the scratched areas, and was too lazy to run through the whole tank to fix the hazing. I looked at the tank and all the fine scratches and swirl blemish were all there still there. I asked him this is the best buffing his lazy azz said yeah...
There was also one scratch he didn't do .. He made up a story that it would look wierd in that spot if he removed that scratch. lol. It's the smallest scratch of all of them that he just missed. But I didn't make a deal of that.. But he's full of B.S.

Im just disappointed. I trusted him for a professional kind of work. He's charging like he's a professional.. I was nice enough to pay him and not complain about finishing. He took the money and literally peeled off tire screeching on my small street being angry. I should be angry.

He said in the beginning the hazing was the EZ part. In the end He said he only does scratch removal. Not hazing. This guy.. lol
