several weeks ago I picked up a 140g tall tank for 50 bucks and all I had done with it was water test it...well saturday morning I got a wild hair and decided to put it in the wall since the BGK and Angelfish in my 55g were bout ready for a bigger tank anyway...so 2 days and a few trips to homedepot and lowes and fish are in there new home and the water is clearing up...stock is 3 angelfish, 1 black ghost knife, a pleco, a few mosqitoe fish and 3 apple snails....filtration is a cascade canister filter and an fx5...lighting is just 1 HO t-5 until i get the bulbs for the dual t-8 fixture I got...total cost including tank was around $250.

Nice, and no need for a background!

Does the wall act as a hood above the tank and is it sealed back up? Careful of moisture getting into your walls and such! Great DIY

wall is sealed up except a few small gaps which will be siliconed to seal it up all the way...wall only covers 6 inches of the tank...gonna hang the t-8 fixture this weekend...added a few gouramis today...im really happy with the way this turned out..thanks for the positive feed back.
