I'm kinda nervous since I live on the second floor and am about to setup this acrylic tank but have never had anything bigger than 75g on second floor before. Have anyone setup similar tank size on second or third floor before?

BTW tank dimension is kinda odd 60" x 24" x 24".

There is currently a thread regarding a 180g on the second floor. you should check it out.

Thanks for responses

I might buy a large piece of plywood to put under the stand just to ease my mind a little.

Usually just run 75gs but got a great deal on this tank and other acrylic that is 60" x 24" x 18" together for $150.

ive seen a thread like this before and the best answer i saw was "search my tank fell through my floor. you wont find anything." just make sure if you know which way the joists go that your tank is perpendicular, so the weight's spread out across more supports rather than just a few.

Kinda nervous about what I'll find in there but will try to find it.

Thanks

If ya do enough research that nervousness will turn into confidence. Or you can just have a bunch of people with little to no experience telling ya "yes you'll be fine". Personally I would go with the research.

I had a 150 and 2 55's on the 3rd floor of a building and it was fine for the 3yrs i was there. im not just throwing a "you'll be fine" out there.
