15,000 largemouth bass????? WTF

I was recently at bass pro shops in bolingbrook, IL and was told that their biggest largemouth in the tank was bought for 15,000 I found that absolutely crazy??????? I was probably around 15lbs Im guessing by looking at it maybe 13lbs???

They probably were repeating information that they heard incorrectly. They probably were told it was $15,000 for the whole tank set-up, but misunderstood.

It's probably cause it's so hard to buy/sell and acquire LMB's legally, and an LMB that size isn't an everyday fish.

Also for the holder of the fish they have to feed them and need a tank large enough to keep them so the cost of keeping them is high which would drive up the price.

waste of a tank....we have a couple bass pro shops w/ natives as well.....waste of a tank imo.....throw in some exotics!
