JK, that is an unfortunate mistake. Bonnetheads are fun little sharks, Ive manhandeled a few in my day.

Sad. That's a tough loss for those keepers. They have put a lot of effort into that group of shark. I got to see them as pups in holding a few years ago when they were redoing the OCEANS building.

Since I hate sharks so much, whenever I read anything about them dying, I'm always secretly happy. However, there's also a logical part inside me that tells me it's not right that they're being killed.

It sucks that their equipment malfunctioned, but this kind of thing is preventable if the zoo pays enough attention. They should probably be doing some thorough checks of their systems right about now...
