Let me get this right you had 4 jumping out and this makes them not a tough fish. That’s bad fish keeping not the fishes fault and the only Wolf I ever lost was ripped apart by his tank mate another wolf. I know people that have pealed them off the floor desiccated putting them back into a tank and watched them rehydrate I would say yes tough.

If you do any research on them it always said a tight lid is required

ie"It is good to have a tight fitting lid as they like to jump"

You misread me. The "hardy fish" part referred to kane's bloated acrobat.

I keep my fish as I like; lid or no lid. You mind?

I apologies profusely:( but they just jump same as snakeheads,Arowana and gars you just have to have a lid on them. or you end up with dead wolf fish;)

Sorry to hear about your lost. 15" is an impressive sight for any fish to attain.

sorry to hear of the loss-thought it ws the swim bladder. when that happens to the extent you described there not a lot you can do.
