So recently I got my cousin into fish keeping. He started with a 10 gallon and a little female convict cichlid. He keeps up with water changes/maintenance and has showed he is dedicated to the hobby and not just in it for the novelty of owning a fish. Anyways he is now looking at starting up a 150-200 gallon tank. He wont go larger. I have tried to tell him to get a 240 gallon and stocking options would open up so much but he is set on a 200 gal tank or 150 gal tank. Anyways he wants to have some Cichla specifically Kelberi. He wants other "colorful" fish as he stated in the tank as well. So to give him an idea of what his tank may look like he asked for me to show him some tanks with kelberi and others...anyways the point of this thread is to post some pics of your kelberi tanks with other fish as well 150-200 gallons to give him an idea. so lets see some tanks if you guys have any. he is into color but does not want a whole bunch of small fish... he is in it for the monsters.

In a tank of that size he will only have one or two fish long term. I suggest you guide him in another direction.

rodger rodger yea that's what I'm trying to do....he just wants some larger sized fish. Im trying to get him to do some geophagus a couple severum and maybe one centerpiece cichlid Or something. Told him to go for a 240 at least and that would open his options a little more but he isn't hearing it.

Then he will make the same mistakes most of us have. Ask him what he will do when they get too big.
