150 gal filtration

I just bought a 150 gal tank for my butti. I've never had anything bigger than a 55. What would be the best setup for a 150 gal, and would two aquaclear 110s (one off of each of my 55s) work temporarily until I get a better setup?

Sorry to ask a question that has obviously been answered a million times over, I just did a search and it seems that my two 110s plus a canister is the way to go.

110's flow at what... 500 gph? It might work on a lightly stocked tank temporarily... I would be wary of long term use.

It will only be a Butti and a GT.......if they get along.

Two 110 will do a good job long term with more fish than that. IMO

two 110's should work on a 150 even with several large fish. with all large fish you should be doin weekly water changes and big ones at that so those filters should be fine. although if you wanted to i would make a wet dry. for a 150 i would use a 50gallon tank as the sump. with all the great pics of DIY wet dry's on this site you can make one pretty cheap!!!

i ran a fluval 304 and the big bio wheel hob filter on my 150 that did the job for me !! water changes are the key tho!! now im runing a wet/dry as my fish got real big!!
