I'm looking to buy one of the 150 gallon tall tanks, dims of 48x24x30". I would prefer with a stand, though it is not a must. Filters are the same way, I'd be interested if you have them, but it isn't required.

I would consider a 120 gal, 48x24x24. I'm not interested in anything other than these two tanks, I don't have the space for a 6' tank as much as I would like one.

I'm located in Hoffman Estates, IL, 60169. I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg, just looking to save a few bucks over buying one new. I know neither of these are super common but thought I would check. Please let me know if you can help!

I am looking for reasons to head your direction but tanks may be cheaper in your area... idk. Just an idea.
 
Thanks for the link! That's not a bad price, that tank looks like it is in pretty decent shape. Most I've seen around here are that price or more, usually for pretty low quality. Ideally I'd like to find one a bit cheaper, closer to the $150/gal range plus accessories, but I suspect with this style I wont have such luck
 
Yeah, the fatboys are hard to come by. Usually when they pop up here it is a bare tank that needs resealed for $150. I gave $550 for this setup because I really wanted it at the time. I had been after one for years, but now it is just too small for me :D
 
I hear you there, I really like the look, though something larger would be great. Back when I had a house I had a 330 gal waiting to be set up. Now that I'm in a 2 bed room apt I just dont have the space for a larger tank. These are nice as they don't take up much more room than a 75 gal. I suspect I'll end up giving in after a while and paying close to the $450 price for it if I really want it.

Yep. Sunday I am driving halfway there which is where the idea sprung from. You would still be 160mi away but I could snag up a ray while in your area lol
