So the time has come for me to grow up and test the waters of life on my own. My job is transferring me hour away so I'm moving away from home so I will be bringing my tank with me.
So instead of a separate bed il be getting a pull out to fit my fish tank.

Also I have never moved fish before can I get some pointers on how to move my tank successfully?

if you are moving africans / south/central americans, I put them in rubbermaid containers / buckets, with a battery operated air pump to keep them oxygenated. They even had to spend a night in the buckets, fine the next day. Its all about the hardiness of the fish. Towels over the buckets, tape the covers shut on the rubbermaids. Good luck with the move. I've had to move 3 times with my fish :)

Thanks for the tips thats what I was thinking is a few rubbermaid totes and try to take 50% of the water with me. My one cpncern is I use sand so it will take a few days for the sand to settle. Or will the fish be alright even with the sand stirred up

Keeping your filter media and sand in the original tank water also keeps the bb in check. Battery operated pumps with Rubbermaid containers or buckets to transport them should be g.
