Pearsei are on the softer side when it comes to cichlids, however they can hold their own if needed. You can see my 350 stocking and what I have with mine. A few that would work: geo's, bocourti, chocolates, severums, and more that I could list for awhile. They are a great fish and really need some green in their diet. The good thing about the fish above is they like green in their diets also. Even some silver dollars would be good also.

I like my combination of africans, peacocks, parrots, and jewels. In my experience they have been the most colorful and are fun to watch. Lots of activity, but not so much that it over stresses the fish. Im sure an oscar or 2 would fit in as well, but ive never had one.

I have a 150 with a mated pair of festae and some HRP's as dithers...i considered changing the tank and here's what i considered which i think will work.

- Trio of REd Comb Salvini's: 1M/2F mixed with a Larger Paraneetroplus Bifasciatum Candelaria and some Roboides Guatemalensis

or

- 6 Astatehero's Altifrons mixed with Wild Swordtails.

or

- 1 Male Grammode, 2 larger paired Vieja Regani or Argentea.

I still may do this. 150 is not a lot of room so this will give you the best bang on will be fish on the rarer side.
