Just got my 150 gallon all set up and plumbing situated. The only thing it needs is a real light, black gravel, and some black background. The tank will have a oscar and dempsey in it in a week or so. Just bought this setup on craigslist for $350.

The setup:

150 gallon Peninsula Acrylic tank
Oak stand and canopy
Built in overflow
35 gallon custom acrylic sump
1- 250 watt stealth
Mag 18 pump
48" LED lunar light
4 fans to (keep humidity down)
Soon to have a t-5 lighting and gravel

What are your ideas on the setup? Give me some ideas! Stocking? Other problems with setup? That kind of thing. I will keep u updated with the progress!!

The dimensions are 4' by2'by30" and the old owners used it for saltwater. When he bought it 5 years ago he payed $3500 for the setup!!

Check it out!!! I got more gravel, a light, Rocks, and some fish. Hoping to get black background soon and some drift wood with a big plant! What do you guys think about getting a fire eel or Datnoid. Those are probably my two favorite fish besides Giant Gouramis. The stock right now is a Oscar, Jack Dempsey, Firemouth, and Upside down catfish. The water isn't horrible but is not totally clear yet! Hope to get some more biological filtration in next week.
