I recently purchased a 150 gallon acrylic tank with a 5.5" x 6.5" overflow located on the side.It is drilled with two holes on the bottom for a 1" drain and 3/4" return.

I'm very new to all this stuff this is my first large tank.I'm only going to keep a single wolf fish and I've read they are messy eaters and need ample bio filtration.

I thought about running a eheim 2262 connected to the overflow kinda like xander has his.I have never run a sump before so I'm kinda lost when it comes to those. If I did run a sump I would like to make a rubbermaid trickle filter but I'm not sure of the 1" inch drain is enough to support the needed flow for this size tank?Any other ideas or suggestions?
