150 Gallon Filtration Ideas?

Okay so i got this 150 gallon tank that i set up, there is a sump filter attached to the tank so currently im letting it overflow into the sump and blowing the water out with a 1850l/h powerhead. I want to make it so that the water quality would be superb, i'm thinking of putting in another 3000l/h powerhead connecting to the undergravel filter and the overhead filter, is that a good or a bad idea?

Oh yes and if i want to make the water in my tank crystal clear what are the basic guidelines i should follow?

Forget under gravel filters. What you need is a good filter sock setup going into the sump and a 100 micron filter sock will be great.

If it was me I would try to setup 2 socks just to make it so you don't have to clean them as often. But one would work just fine.

Actually the main reason im putting an undergravel is because i dont like bare tanks lol

I wish I had a sump. I use a fx5 and a eheim 2260 on my 150g.
