Hey Everyone,
Looking into getting possibly a 48 inch x 24 x 30 reef ready tank by the end of the year. The 210 gallon idea that we had months ago (even had the stand and canopy in the house ready) didn't fall through due to the lack of knowledge. Parents were thinking of keeping the 210 outside...in New York WINTERS! For some reason they though that it would be no problem with the use of a heater as well as chiller, however after pestering the idea to them it was bad finally broke through. So we are now considering options for a tank to go inside the house. We figure this size tank mainly because my cousin just purchased a 110 gallon and they really liked the dimensions of it especially the height...decided to throw in an extra 6 inch at width tho lol.
So now Im out of idea as I 100% wanted to do fresh with the 210 gallon tank so I could easily keep 2 hystrix rays and other fish. So now I'm unsure what kinds of beautiful yet unique fish are out there that will thrive in a 150 tall tank. Ive been considering trying a discus tank but I feel like they will be very difficult to maintain since they require near daily water changes.
So basically for freshwater members, what do you guys think would be best stock for freshwater? Than I will run the idea as well as research on them.
Im a predator fish kind of guy but since it is in the living room colors are a must.
Saltwater I kind of already have ideas that would make the tank look great as I did reef before.
