Nothing tremendously exciting, but I'm thrilled as it is my first aquarium related build (first sump, first stand, etc.)

I'll post more pictures as I test everything (in the garage) in case my overflow gph and return pump gph don't match! :WHOA:

Here so far is the stand, all finished, and the 40 gallon sump, with baffles only. I have the bio media and PVC unit to create a drip tray, but will photo that later. Also, the back of the painted tank and the overflow boxes. And the 1800 gph Danner Supreme return pump.

Using 2" flexible corrugated sump drain tubing for the drain, and 1 1/2" Clear tubing for the return. Deciding on ball valve, going with probably just to be safe. Haven't devised the actual return head in the aquarium yet, might just go store bought, or PVC with drilled holes to dissipate the current.

Stand looks Great! what are your overflows gph rated? and is that the only pump you are running. Also is the sump the only thing your running for filtration? or will there be a canister or something too?

The overflows SAY they're rated at 600 gph each (1200 gph total) and the pump is 1800 gph, but 1190 gph at 5' head height. There will be a Fluval FX5 as well for filtration.
Thanks, first stand built. I somewhat followed LowCel's build, at least I really liked his design and made a few modifications.

There's a video slideshow of my recent 125 gallon tank build. Might give you some ideas. One thing I'll say is that I highly recommend you use aluminum L brackets to hold the drip plate. I tried many methods and this is the best way to do it in my opinion. Keep us posted.
