150 gallon tank stocking and wht not

I found a 150 gallon tank for sale i wanna buy. I was wondering if 2 110 aqua clear filters wld be engh for it if not whts better? And for stocking i have 2 tiger oscars to thro into it alrdy and was wondering on tank mates.

Stockin:
2 tiger oscars
1 clown or black knife fish
1 pleco or catfish
1 fire eel

Would that work or wht wld be better? And i was wondering if i cld find a gar that cld live in there for life?

they should be fin exept the gar idk of any gars the dont get huge

I think a clown knife will get too big for a 150. "True" gars will also outgrow a 150. Needle nose gar would fit, but probably won't work with any other fish you are thinking of.

if you want a nice catfish get a lima shovel nose

Yeah gar isn't going to work. I would do a lima cat, a medium pleco like a royal, but not sure there's a knife that would work. If you could find a really big 12"+ BGK maybe, but CK will ge too big.

Did the tank come with filters or the AC110's filters you already have? I would consider adding a 3rd filter down the road, either a big canister like a fx5 or a sump.

No it doesnt have filters so im thinkin wht to get? plus wld a BGK work instead of the clown knife?
Also wld 1 fx5 be engh, Or shld i have 1 ac 110 with it??

Ok...I just checked the dimmensions of the tank its only a 135 gallon. Its 18" wide, 72" long, 57" tall. I stiill plan on the fx5 and mayb the ac110 if thats ok? or wld i even need the ac110? And whts a good heater to use? So cld i still put in
1 BGK
2 tiger oscars
1 fire eel
1 pleco of some kind

wld this work?

I run twin Rena XP3's on my 150g along with an AquaClear 110. works very well.

but you could substitute one FX5 instead and go with the AC110.

either way, you generally need a few filters on a tank that size especially as your fish get large.
