i was looking to purchase a 125-200 gallon tank and complete set up. anyone have any ideas of where to purchase online or in my area. i live in the bay area, ca. please let me know if you guys have any hook up or know of a place that gives good deals. thanks.

check on there shows and you can pick it up if they are close by

Couldn't agree more. I scored a 125 with a nice stand for $200 on craigsist. You'd be amazed at some of the stuff you find on there.
 
I bought a 150g on ebay. I waited & waited until one was up for auction within driving distance of where I live. Got the tank, hood/lights, stand, filtration & too many other goods to mention for $400. Was forced to take the fish too but had no trouble giving them away to a LFS.
 
yupyup i got my 180 acrylic plus stand and canopy for only $300.
