i have been thinking alot lately and i think i miaght wait to build the 730 until after college:(
that means i goning to have to come up with some thing for a singl pbass and a single lima cat
would a 150 work a few years?
the only fish in the tank would be
1 pbass
1 lima
1 commen pleco

yea i think you could if it was the only choice make sure you have a monster sump like a 75g sump with loads of bio and do like 50-100% water changes every week :)

ok i say you got some time i say at the very most 1.5years mabye 2 years i hope all goes well don't try too feed less just don't power feed. good luck :)

what are the dimensions on the 150g? you should be ok for a year and a half or so.. if you go the more natural route with feeding. p.s. never do 100% water changes^ no offense but thats just bad advise.. 40 percents are ok and your fish will still fade for a few days b/c of ph fluctuation  .. i wnat to build a big tank as well (maybe a 500g) but i decided to wait till i have my own house because once its in, its in. plus i want to set it up right with rubbermaid tubs and automatic water changers

my pbass grew in a 150 for 6 months. after that he was just way to big for it IMO

had to toss him in my 400gal a lot sooner then planned.

i have been thinking more about the 730 gallon and have decided that unless something comes up im gonna start construction asap :D
say i finish the tank ayear and a half from now, i will have two years two power feed the tank and get it settled in before i go off to college. before i go off to colledge i am going to teach my brother how to feed the tank and check for problems with the fish, so when i am in colledge he can take care of it, i will come home during the weekends and perform a water change and a power feeding
any other suggestions?
