I am looking to buy a 150 gallon aquarium this summer. 5'x2'x2' ...I can not find this tank anywhere in Maine or NH or Mass used so I may just have to buy it new. What is a good price that I would expect to pay for a new glass 150?

A new one is likely going to be around $1500. You'd do well to keep an eye on craigslist and travel a bit. With patience, you can probably get one for about $300.

I am speaking just glass tank. No stand no nothing

Normally you'd be hard pressed to find the glass for sale without the stand. Even if you do, the prices I gave will still likely be in the same ballpark. The glass is the expensive part, the stand for a 150 gallon tank only uses about $110 worth of wood plus some paint and hardware.

Ok so I have an LFS selling 125 gallon tanks w/o stands for $349.99 and he priced a 150 (not the dimension I want) at $550 for glass. Is this a good deal?

Brand new at 550, I'd say that's not too bad. But even then you might be able to do better. My LFS priced me at 1000-1050 for a starphire 220-72x24x30 or 850 for regular glass.

My LFS sells just the tanks n they priced me $2100 for a 240... Needless to say I watched craigslist n got a 220 with everything for $300

LOL I guess your LFS decided "Well, we're in a state where a lot of presidents have came from, so lets be ridiculous with our tank pricing"
