I just got a 150g all-glass used. The tank is 72x18 and it came with 2 34x18 tops there is nothing in the middle of this tank to hold them up. What could i do here? The top of this tank is wide open end to end....

You could have glass cut to fit at a glass shop and silicon it into place going across the middle, or a piece of wood trim sealed with epoxy paint doing the same.
You could also have a new tops cut at a glass shop for fairly cheap, hinges and other bits for a top can be ordered in 6' pieces from www.drsfostersmith.com
