Does anyone know the dimensions for the glass tops on the Aqueon 155g bw? I had all three tops shatter in storage and I'm trying to set them back up again. I've seen them for sale, but at ridiculous prices, so I was going to get a local glass company to make one for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would get your local fish store to order you the proper top for your tank.

I believe Aqueon (aka Allglass) is the only maker of a 155 bow at the moment - check to see what brand your tank is..

so you can get exactly the right top brand new in a packsage with the right trim and everything.

that would be much easier and less hassle.

probably cheaper too.

Deep pocket pricing or saving money.. If you can find them at a price range your willing to spend on them then order the original tops, if your short on cash and the local glass shop can do a good enough match at a fair price then go for it.

Not sure on dimensions considering i don't buy bow front tanks. But measure the inseam or lip WxL on where the tops would rest on, or if a center braced style same deal. The pain in the a** is the curving from the front. BTW GL either way

The tanks are in the back of a storage facility and I can't get to the tops for measurement.

The cheapest I can find is like here, http://petcaresupermarket.com/product_info.php?products_id=1606
I really don't want to pay 143$ x3 + shipping for something that is only 3/16 glass.

The aquarium is an AGA 155 Bow.

The easiest way is really to gain access to the tank and make paper templates of the opening you need to cover. My friend did this with his tank. He then took the paper/cardboard template to local glass dealer and they made him a perfect fit at a fraction of cost. :naughty:

wow. I didnt realize the Aqueon bow glass tops were so much more expensive than the standard rectangular tanks.

eg. my 150g AGA (72x18) versa top was $65 Canadian brand new from the LFS..that means the bow tops are more than double the price..

I still think your best bet is to bite the bullet and save up, unless you can find some used.

getting the exact curve dimensions to cut from someone else is going to be tough..

i agree, use a cardboard template for the glass top. its sturdy and doesnt flex as much.
