I'm planning to set up a 15g that's been lying around for awhile and was wondering what should i use as filtration that is adequate in keeping the water clean. It'll be lightly planted and i don't want the water current to be too strong. Please give me some advice, thanks guys!

I have a 15 gal w/ two small hang on filters. This works great.I have the tank over populated with no ill effects. So it works great for me.

Is your 15g bare-bottom or planted?

Toss an FX5 :)

C328 selling them for $390....
sigh, not many people in singapore use FX5 i guess. Gonna wait till CNY for the red packets to flow in my wallet.

About the FX5, its just a joke. It would most likely cause a hurricane in your 15g. Get a few HOB filter like fishinfrenzy suggested. If you are afraid of surface agitation, fill the tank level up as close to the output to minimize it.

I've got a long way to go, getting a FX5. I'm currently saving up for a 6 footer at the moment. Then i'll probably have to work to get 2 FX5s for filtration.

As for this 15g, i decided to go bare-bottom. Too lazy to plant it. In fact, i am using a HOB but just one at the moment. Got a corner filter for extra biological filtration. Yea.

Don't really like corner filters though. Have to get your hands wet everytime you replace the foams
