Hello all, sad news, my boy is outgrowing his tank and i cannot afford a larger one right now as I am a graduate student with very limited income. He is a hybrid redtail cat crossed with a tiger shovelnose and is very beautiful and eats like a horse. I dont know what he is worth but i have raised him from 2". I would like to get $200 obo. still far too high, the problem with large catfish is that unlike some species when they get bigger there price goes down not up due to the fact that most people that buy them cannot house them and usually sell or give them away once there a little over a foot. now if you grew him up over 2' you might be able to get some money out of him. but at the current size i cant see anyone giving you more than say the $20 bucks you can buy one at a pet store for at 3" and growing it for 5 months to get it the same size yours is. not trying to sound rude just my opinion
