Hello,

I'm almost finish my new tank 48"x48"x16 - 160 gal for my Stingrays Hystrix.

I have Sump filter - 40 gal for it and I need to know what type and how big pump I should get for my setup.

I have little more pipes because of UV and check valve. See attachments (is not 100% ready :)

I have not using Quiet Pump 4000 - but I think that it can be too small for my setup.

What do you think ? I'm thinking to buy a magnetic pump - I know that is more expensive but I heard that is quieter and I will have more space for filter media in my Sump.

Thanks !

anybody ? ;(

Please...

The return line looks like a 1" and there are uv and check valve and all that bends. Not much came to mind but iwaki 55 or 70, coralife 1740p, blueline etc... those are 1" outlet and high pressure pump will works in your app.

I'm thinking about Iwaki 55 ;) 70 can be a little too big ? What do you think ?

Return are 4 x 1"... from pump to tank - 2x 1".

Thanks for helping !

how tall of overall from buttom of stand to top of the tank and what size of overflow?
do u plan to use dual pump or single?

40" from bottom to the overflow. All pipes will have form pump to tank ~ 120-130"

Overflow 4 x 1" pipes.

i have 1" overflow with 1" PVC and flex pipe all the way to the sump, from sump to the tank is about 4 and half feet high, i use 2 pumps to pump back the water to the tank, they r oddysea 550 which is rated for 1960LPH @1.5M high and also oceanson 2500 which is rated for 2800LPH @ 2.35M high. they r working in harmony and the pumps hooked up to 3/4 flex tubing.
the tank is 72x24x24

OK, I stay with 4000 and if it won't work I go for bigger one.

Thanks !
