I have a 17"+ true Black Pacu (Colossoma macropomum) up for trade/sale ... not your average red belly variety. Needless to say, they get HUGE ! C. macropomum is the largest Pacu, reaching a length of 5 feet under the right conditions. Large aquariums of 500 gallons or more may be required to hold such a monster fish. Compatible with all fish except those that can fit in their mouths. PM me if you're interested. THESE ARE NOT MY PICTURES BUT I WANTED TO SHOW THEIR POTENTIAL SIZE FOR THOSE EVEN REMOTELY INTERESTED

LOL as stated previously, those are not my pics but according to the website from The Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco, which opened in September 1923, which is the oldest, still-operating grand municipal aquarium in America. No offense but I tend to take their word for it. ;)
 
:confused: Is it me or some people can't tell the diff between a Red Belly and a Black Pacu ? Pictured below is a large Red Belly Pacu for comparison. (NOT MY PICTURE EITHER)

and uh sorry to burst your piebald side but do you see any part of the first pics of pacus with "any" reds....? and you can see the last pacu pic that he claimed is a red bellied pacu...now you can see weither its a black or red. ;) how about you check it again and yes its a true black pacu...

Colossoma brachypomum is the true black pacu. The pics he showed were of Colossoma brachypomum.
