170 Stocking Suggestions

Possibly upgrading to my bosses 170 gal. *Fingers crossed*

What could I keep with my Oscar and Jack Dempsey? Not a big fan of Silver Dollars, I'd like to add a little more color than that. I'm not familiar enough with others to know what I can add.

Pics please if you can.

(Please don't just list what fish I could add, let me know how many of each would be acceptable without overstocking.)

I wouldn't add any more of what you have since I would avoid pairs in this scenario since it keeps you from adding more. I'd go with maybe a chocolate cichlid, red hump eartheater, and severum

cons can kill a oscar to protect there fry.
i would go with pikes.

and pikes .... wont beat the hell outta an oscar i had one that was half a size of the oscar and it completly messed this oscars head up alls it would do is sit in the corner and turn away from the pike anytime the pike swam near it...... ya cons arent as mean as u think. my oscar is in a tank with two jags and is holding its ground.

Don't know not many Cichlids have great coloring...And the ones that do have color has black on the body. Maybe a Blood Parrot or Flowerhorn? Electric blue or yellow Cichlids?

Could I do 1 each of oscar, jd, gt, firemouth and salvini? Would that work?
