I just found a 175g on Craigslist, which is the size tank I am looking for, and it is only $200. However, it needs resealed. Is it a good deal, or would the resealing be too much of a hassle?

get it for sure great deal i had to reseal a 20g and it wasn't that hard at all.

Thats a 20g a 175 would be much more difficult. Its a real good deal but its going to be a little work.

all you need is a tube of silicon and a rag and a spoon and its pretty elementary. if you can write your name then you are capable of doing this. go get that 175 and reseal that bad boy. also where in ohio are you. i might be able to help you if your not that far away from me

I'm having second thoughts now. I just looked into some more detail of the tank, and realized the dimensions. I was looking for a longer tank.:irked:

if you do decide to get it... just make sure you buy 100% silicone sealant. It's benign compared to some of the other sealants out there like caulk which has chemicals that out-gas over time [i.e. most DAP products are not 100% silicone]

is there pics? take a look at the condition before u buy a tank that big because you wouldnt want any failures

I'm not going to get it for numerous reasons. One, I hate the dimensions. Two, I don't want to take that risk. Three, it's like a 3 hour drive, which isn't bad for a new tank, but it is for a used one.
