Hello everyone, over the last 3 months or so i have been putting together a small planted tank. I am getting good growth from the older plants but some like the tiger lillies and ricca still have alot of growing to go. I have finally put in the last plant today and now that it is complete im not really happy with it. i find that its a bit messy and has no distinct barriers between plants. I find it hard to have lots of different plants but still keep it tidy and formal. Any hints, tips and criticism is very welecomed.
Also any chance of some plant ids. here is the list i have so far. not sure how accurate it is.
from left to right
red tiger lotus
green tiger lotus
red ludwigia
ozelot sword
ricca
anubis nana
hair grass
bananna plant
crypt wendtii ???
not sure of the red plant
not sure of the green stem plant behind it
not sure the the big bush next to that
pongo grass

Thanks everyone

That Looks Reallly Reallly Nice...
Good Work
=D

Ive had alot of trouble with my planted tank.
very hard too keep very neat as you say

ive had fish for years but im a plant noob, so my 2cents isnt even worth that, but it looks like a good start....it looks like you might need ferts. Are you using any?hopefully wyldfya chimes in,he's helped me on a few questions.also what type lighting are you useing?

What is your fish stock like? If you don't have any, or a light number, I'd ditch the can, and heater; they are an eye sore. As far as boundaries, you will need to remove nearly half of your plant types to be able to establish any boundaries as the single stems will only provide breaks in your groupings.

It looks great, but at least try and hide the filter intake, heater, etc. Also the plants will probably cover it, but get a background to hide the cords and hoses behind the tank.
