18" Florida With 5" Datnoid?

I've kept gars with datnoids before. Only problem is the size is way big on this. Would an 18" florida mix well with a 5" datnoid? Or would the gar eat it? Thanks.

It should be fine. I have a 20" Florida with a 4" NTT before and the gar did not bothered them. They are now at 8".

What about a longnose gar at 18" as well? I know the mouth is bigger. Thanks man

Longnose gars mouth is smaller than a Florida gar. LN have the smallest gape out of all gar.

Never owned the combo before. But one thing I have noticed is that other predatory fish know what fish to stay clear of.
