I hate to do it but I need to find a new home for my Giraffe Cat. He is 18" long (basically one big muscle). Likes to eat, and is a bit on the aggressive side when it come to eating. Currently he is housed in a 7' long 200 Gallon tank but will eventually need something bigger. I raised him from about 3" to 12" when he originally outgrew the tank I had in my condo. A friend took him for a while but was forced to take down his tank, so I (now living in a house with a bigger tank) was happy to have him back. Unfortunately he got in a scuffle with my Stingray, doing quite a bit of damage and ultimately killed it. The rest of the fish in the tank are now hiding in the corner. I do not consider him to be mean but he does like to eat. Tankmates would need to be equally aggressive eaters.

I would estimate him to be about 10 years old. Used to a ph between 6-7. I am looking for a new home for him in the Chicago area. Free to someone with proof of a good environment for him to live out his years.

Dang, why can't you be looking in montana! lol. Good luck it's a beautiful fish. I've been looking for one for a long time.

I would take him in but I am nowhere near chicago. And my monster tank is not running yet. Neat cat though i saw one for the first time at capitol aquariums in Sac (Terrible store)

Old Orchard Aquarium in Skokie had one that size. Maybe they can find the person who bought the other one and see if the have room. GL!

if i could talk my wife into taking a road trip 4 1/2 hrs each way i would come and get him.

Where are you in Iowa? Show me you have a good home and maybe we can meet in the middle.
