hey guys i am hoping to start building a 180-200 gallon tank. i would like to get some real monsters. what kind of monster would be happy for life in a tank that size?
thanks,

I'm assuming it will have a 24" width? Then you could keep anything that maxes out at under 24". My vote is male dovii. But then you probably wouldn't be able to keep any tankmates.

Is it going to be more of a display tank or to keep a monster feeder in? I have a 125 right now with a 24" silver arowana, 5 12" redtailed gouramis, 2 8" widebar datnoids, 1 14" spotted gar and an 8" polypterus endlicheri. I will be upgrading in size soon, but the colors of fish in the tank are great. I'll also be adding some stingrays as I just got rid of my big'uns that were outgrowing the tank. I'm pushing maximum density, but my water is squeaky clean thanks to my over filtration. If you go for aggressive fish, the community tank idea goes out the window.

CichlidAddict-Yes the tank will prob be 2'lx6'wx2'h. May Be Larger if money alows

Deathcurl- Not a display tank. I dont care if the fish is colorful. i want large And agressive.

I dont realy want cichlids. The only cichlid i would even consider is an oscar and thats if i cant get anything else. The fish cant be too expensive. I dont mind hard to find fish as long as they are reasonably priced. I realize the cost is more for the larger fish. Thanks for the feedback guys!

maybe a jardini arowana i hear they are somethin fierce and a bit smaller than a silver.
they arent cheap 25-75$ where i live, but if your lookin to keep this fish for life i say even a couple hundred bucks for years of enjoyment is a steal!
