guys i have been having a few probs with nitrites in the water..
was wondering if 2 fx5s on a 180 is enough?
stocklist is my sig..
5 fish total
biggest is 14 inches
smallest is 6 inches

Stocked with, feeding what?

2 Fx5's are MORE than enough for that stock and size tank.

When was the tank set up?

Have you cleaned out your filter media recently?

Maybe added untreated tap water to your tank?

Have you done a large water change AND cleaned out your filters at the same time?

If you are saying you already have 2 FX5's on that 180 with those fish and are having Nitrite problems, then there is some other reason for it than not enough filtration.

Do you mean NitrIte problems or NitrAte problems?

If its that you have NitrAte problems, then you just arent doing enough water changes or you are overfeeding.

i never clean my bio media lol and when i do its in aquarium water.
i do wc's on a regular basis.
always use prime on WC's
and yes NITRITE, p.s ammonia is zero

If i were you, i would get some seachem stability.

I dont know what to tell ya.

What are your readings for Nitrate?

Usually when there is a reading of Nitrite, but zero for everything else, the tank isnt cycled all the way.
Thats why i thought, maybe your tank crashed and you're having mini-cycles as a result.
