Some of you may have read the post about me scoring a FREE 180 gal tank a week or so ago. I was mulling a stand that would incorporate the 180 and my 55 and my 60, but I opted to get rid of the 60 (it was going to be empty for now anyway). So, I based my design 100% on what I had seen posted in this site (special thanks to MFKer paulbearer, who posted his build on this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395359).
Anyway, I had never undertaken anything even close to this in terms of building something out of wood, much less for a 180 gal tank. Couldn't have done it without this site! So I have my 125, my 180, and my 55 on one wall in my heated garage, here is the pic I took today at lunch (sorry for no build in progress pics, but I literally went step for step along with the thread from paulbearer in terms of design if you are curious). Since I want to be able to view the 55 (and it's in a garage, not my living room) I am not going to worry about "skinning" the stand.
That's the old 60 sitting on the floor by the 125, its on craigslist (anybody want it? I'm in Fort Wayne, IN). I am re-soaking the big piece of driftwood that came with the 180, and I'll also be painting it black soon. Just wanted to get it up and running for the time being!
