Hey all. It's been awhile since I have posted as I unfortunately had to get rid of all my tanks over a year and a half ago. I'm getting back into the hobby luckily. I just picked up my dream tank. 180 g. On my way home with it in the back of my jeep I had to slam on the breaks. When I was getting ready to offload it I noticed this piece had snapped off. I wanted everyone's opinion if you think I'll be safe to proceed with filling it up or if I need to get the bottom frame replaced. Let me know your thoughts and opinions. Thanks as always for the assistance and its good to be back!

I suppose that is always an option. It is just a very small piece of it. I would think it would still be structurally sound. I can't afford to have anything bad happen to this tank.it took me a long time to replace my last tank.thanks for the reply.

If its cheap enough, you could replace it for peace of mind even though it will probably be fine...

It think its fine, my bottom frame on my 180g is similar but its on the short side panel.

Is it just trim? I thought that was to keep from scratching glass, not support the tank?

I have heard conflicting things as to whether or not it assists in the support. I appreciate your opinions. I feel slightly better now. Thanks again gentlemen.

You could take off the frame and sit it on a 1/2 to 1 inch of styrofoam if the tank is going to sit on a thick plywood top

This is the stand it will be sitting on. I did not have a great chance to look at the stand last night as it was pretty late when i picked it up.
