Hey every one, I would first like to say, thanks for allowing me to join this great blog site. I have been following it for some time now and felt it was about time I joined it so I could ask my own questions.
I post today to ask about a tank that i have that I would like some ideas on. I currently have a 180 gallon tank with 2 Cascade 1500 canister filters. In the tank I have 3 female convicts, 1 female pink convict, a male Jack Dempsy, and a small oscar. The oscar has his one part of the tank with a divider but he is small enough to fit through it but still never gets bothered. My question today is what els could I add to the tank? My girlfriend wants some color in the tank and saw a Green Terror and wants me to add it to the tank. I have done some research and got mixed reviews. Let me know what you think!!

Green Terrors are great if you can find one grown. They grow really slow for me, hard to sex. You get a small one, you could be waiting 2 years for it to look good--hump on tbe head, long flowing fins and all. Might take a year to realize your GT is female and will never look like that.

Look at some Vieja. Heterospilus maybe.

Texas, firemouths (find some other varients if you can such as maculipinnis, Aureus, pasionis), you could add some of the vieja, well one or two.. a true parrot.. I keep a 180 with centrals, though not as peaceful as yours, kinda wishing it was though!

I have a 7" GT male, he rules my 90. They do take awhile to grow, but its super fun to watch the color and mood changes with them. His head hump is coming in nicely. Probly the best looking fish I've ever owned.
