Well guys this was my 180 gallon that i was trying to sell full saltwater setup for 400. I finally said screw it and im now fixing it up and making it a FW MONSTER tank :D :headbang2:headbang2

The stand is kinda shot so i need to redo some of the edges of it , back of tank is all sorts of colors , i stripped it and going to paint it black. I need to paint stand , make a light system for it. Hook up the DIY sump for it , then put some white sand in some drift wood and get me my 12inch srt and a 24inch jar!:nilly:.

so my wood working skills suck , im no boyscout by any means , this is going to be a fun one :) ... tips are welcomed as i go along.

so moved the tank good 5 feet from the wall and now have it all taped up , i payed some girl i met on the street to paint it for me :D

Then i was like

Sorry for the bad pics, but the tank is very dirty inside and outside because of the saltwater residue, no one would help me carry it outside to rinse it off so i have to towel and syphon clean it out tomorrow :(

This is going to be a fun project, its looking great what are you going to put init besides the srt and the jar ?

Well i wanted to breed jardinis , and i was down for paying 1000+ for a mated pair of jars but couldnt even find any to buy.... so now its up to my girlfriend, she likes any fish that is mean and will jump out of the water when she messes with them holding food above them lol. She wants a green arowana, but will settle for a silver. there will be an update of the fish going in there, she is still pondering. But ive realized i need to build a canopy for this tank as well, w00t. Woman with a jigsaw and me watching :D

Green arowanas are illegal in the US and silvers get too big.

Nice tank though

I agree, I'd really like to see a more detailed demonstartion of her painting technique.
