My 180 gallon tank is not clearing up and all the attempts I do show little or no improvement. The tank is cloudy, but ammonia nitrite and nitrate are as follows. 0ppm,0ppm,10ppm. It is a bare bottom tank(which believe I need to add gravel to(which could help it). I am running 4 Xp3's Fluval 3 plus power head and a AquaClear 110 Powerhead. Been setup since may. I am stuck and do not know what could be wrong. All fish are heathly, growing and eating. No stress colors or acting strange.:irked:

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it isnt harming your fish than it shouldnt be much of a rpoblem. Does your tank have amny driftwood in it? My 35G had a peice of driftwood which had a colony of bacteria on it which caused the water to go white cloudy for about 8 weeks. Only frequent water changes will cure it at the moment. Post a pic.

every time i had cloudy water in the past the only thing that cleared it up was to feed less. even though all the food was being eaten if i fed less my water turned crystal clear from really cloudy.

Maybe to much filtration:D I know most will tell ya " you can't over filter" but 6 filters on a 180g? My well stocked 180g has crystal clear water and excellent water params, is filtered with 1 xp3 and 2 AC110s and get 1 50% W/C weekly.

As far as the cloudy water goes how long has your tank been set up? What is the livestock? Have you checked the water params with a different test kit to confirm your test results are valid?
