I have a 180 Gallon with the Following:

9) Blood parrot
7) Silver Dollars
3) GT'S
2) Firemouths
1) Tex
1) Flowerhorn
1) Red Devil
2) Jack Demspey
3) Plecos

The question I have is I'm going to take out the GT'S, Firemouth,Jack Demspey,Silver Dollars and Rehome them in to a 125gal Reason is.. I have breeding Pair of Dovii that I would like to Put in the 180 Gallon. I Know that they should be in a bigger tank but I'm Stuck with having to rearrange some fish around. I also have a 12-13' Midas that all he wants to do is Punk the glass. I was thinking of moving him into the 180 gallon as well. But I can see this all going wrong.

So if this was to go down then the following would happen

2) Dovii
1) Flowerhorn
9) Blood Parrots
1) Tex
1) Midas
1) Red Devil
2) plecos

Please Help with some ideas, And no I don't want to here the BS about you need a bigger tank. I Purchase my Dovii second hand and the Male is 8.5' and the Female 7'

Thanks everyone for the nice input :)

To be honest, i think youll end up with alot of dead fish... The breeding pair of dovii will probably cause a lot of problems for all the fish in the tank especially because the tank size but i mean im not an expert so Thats just from what i read lol

;)

and even with a bigger tank, the aggression of the individual fish will play an important role in how the comm works. but personal experience and general understanding conclude that your comm just wont work.

by attempting to put a dovii, FH, midas and RD in the same tank, youre setting yourself up for failure.

AN 8.5 foot dovii, thats huge, just messing. but that sounds like a blood bath. there really isn't any other option besides rehome more fish, get another tank, or get a huge tank. Also you purchased the dovii knowing that you would be stuck doing this:duh:, that was a bad mistake on your part. once those dovii's go to breed they will claim a majority of that tank/all of it. Goodluck

that doesn't sound like it will work, especially considering it is 2 dovii, and a bunch of other tough guys (FH and Midas)

Thanks for the input everyone.

even with just one dovii, from the videos ive seen, would flash a red light. bet if you could make it work that would be one sickass tank! good luck. post some pics if you can.

I was thinking of maybe putting the Female in the tank and leave the male in is own tank but I really don't know how that would work. My flowerhorn is bigger then the Female Dovii but he isn't argresive toward other fish so not to sure on that but on the other hand my mini whale that I have (MIDAS) he is a running machine so I'm more worry about him doing damage to the others I guess I will have to try this method out!
