I have a 180 gallon acrylic Clarity Plus aquarium and a custom made oak stand for sale.
The aquarium is a standard 180 (6'x2'x2') with built in center overflows that consist of two 1 1/2" drains and two 3/4" return lines. The tank has a blue acrylic back. It is filtered by a large wetdry that includes two 300 Watt heaters and two Rio pumps that push roughly 850 gallons per hour through the tank.
The stand is made from oak and was constructed by a group of Amish cabinet makers locally. The stand is constructed in three main pieces. The first is the base that is 3 feet tall. It has two large access doors (I can actually crawl inside the stand) and the entire space is open. It holds a ton of aquarium extras. The second is basically a frame for the aquarium itself that sits on top of the stand. The last piece is the canopy. It is 2 feet tall and also consists of two large access doors and a shelf that runs the entire length of the tank. The access doors are installed using cabinet hinges that allow the doors to easily pop off for transportation or cleaning.
The stand is unique in that a lot of the bottom of the stand touches the floor. It allows much of the 2500 lbs. to be spread out over a larger area than a stand with four legs. This tank has been installed in a third floor apartment as well as the 2nd floor of my home where it currently sits.
I take horrible pictures but, you can see that it is a very nice and unique setup. The custom made stand was the only way my wife would let me get a tank this large. It is currently setup as a community tank with thirteen adult "red head tapajos" eartheaters, a few angels and some assorted corys, plecos and small catfish. However, it housed stingrays for several years and would work well with other large predators. There are several pairs of eartheaters spawning in the tank but, the plecos do not let the eggs hatch.
Included are all of the plastic plants, pumps, lights, gravel, books, etc.
This will be for pickup only in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is 2.5 hours from Chicago and 2.5 hours from Detroit. You will need a large trailer or Uhaul to pick all of this up. I will help load it but, you will need to bring at least one person.
$1300 takes it all. If you just want the fish, they will be $125.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Thanks,
Colin
