180 gallon stocking question

I'm stocking a 180 gallon fish tank and I was thinking about doing tangynikian cichlids, but also am in love with those sting rays. Anybody know if it's poss ole to keep those guys together?

The Ray people will probably ask about tank size and if you say if its a small rockscape probably. I've seen someone's video on here recently that had ray's, fronts, vics and malawii's. The more peaceful and the higher in the water column the fish stay the better. My vote is Yes because i've seen a video of them living well, however I've never kept ray's.

I asked a few friends that keep rays and they said it wouldn't work - so i'm giving up on the dream.

i still have to figure out what to do with that 180 gallon though.

The water parameters aren't a match, and apparently the feisty Africans can eat at the eyes of the stingray.

i keep thinking of a big shoal of super blood red jewels and one or a pair buttikoferii as the centre piece.. different swing on an african tank might be nice?

Fronts are more laid back so they probably didn't bother the rays. I think rays like neutral water and fronts like hard water though so that could be an issue.
