hi everyone,
long time cichlid/freshwater keeper, new to central americans.
i've recently acquired a 180 gallon (6x2x2) tank and am interested in quite a few species. here's where this turns into one of those typical newbie threads:
Archocentrus nigrofasciatus
`Cichlasoma` salvini
Herichthys bartoni
Herichthys cyanoguttatus
Herotilapia multispinosa
Hypsophrys nicaraguensis
Nandopsis tetracanthus
Thorichthys ellioti
Thorichthys meeki
Vieja synspilum (most Vieja species, actually)
i realize that not all of these will mix, but i'd like to know if it's feasible to select a few of the larger guys with maybe one or two smaller pairs (convicts, rainbows?) to go along with them.
any advice regarding all of this is greatly appreciated. thanks!
