I just recently aquired a 80 gallon that i have a true pair of young adult red devils in to spawn in but i also just bought a 180gallon to put the male in after their first spawn and keep the female in the 80 gallon... But my question is what to put in with the male in the 180gallon i'm mainly interested in other large agressive cichlids so what do you think? Here are some pics of my juvenile pair...Pic 1 is the pair, 2 and 3 are Male, 4 and 5 are female...

another same sized or larger cichlid that can defend itself

Pikes. Buy them they hold their own and are chow hounds.

NOW THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT! Crenicichla marmorata, Crenicichla lenticulata, Crenicichla sp. 'cobra'....be GREAT for that tank! You'll probably get rid of your RD and just get more pikes cuz you love them so much!
