Im planning on getting a 180 gallon 6X2X2 tank soon. You think it would be to heavy (with a stand) to put upstairs in a bedroom? The house is only about ten years old. I would really like to put it in my bed room so I can watch the fish rather than in the basement. Thank in advance for the replies.

you could go on a converter/calculator website there are some that can work out the weight of the tank if you put in the dimensions and then get a survey done on your house/floor, seems like alot of hassle and expense though id just go for it, dunno if your bathroom is upstairs but the dimensions of your bath are probably about the same soooo....
its probably better there anyway.
if you ever had a flood from that tank on the third floor, well, water tends to work its way down causing even more damage to the floors below it.
